Hi, See the announcement below regarding our new Principal.

Eric

PRINCIPAL of WELLINGTON C. MEPHAM HIGH SCHOOL

We are very proud and pleased to announce that Anthony DeMartinis has been appointed as Principal at Wellington C. Mepham High School. During the past three years Anthony has served as the Assistant Principal for Guidance at Calhoun High School.  His building leadership experience at Calhoun has given Anthony the opportunity to serve as the school’s Dignity Act Coordinator, the architect of the school’s master schedule, the administrative supervisor for the departments of special education, world languages, and English as a new language, all in addition to his outstanding work in leading the Calhoun counseling and wellness center. Before arriving to Calhoun, Anthony served as school counselor at John F. Kennedy High School where he provided students holistic, academic, social, emotional, and college/vocational counseling for students grades nine through twelve.

Anthony received his Bachelor of Science in Criminal Justice at SUNY Albany and then went to Long Island University for his Master of Science in School Counseling. His Advanced Certificate in Educational Leadership was also achieved at Long Island University. Anthony’s counseling experiences have been vast and include school-based leadership assignments as well as district-wide committee service.  Calhoun principal, Nicole Hollings, says that Anthony has demonstrated tremendous support and care for the students, staff and families at Calhoun and district-wide.  She goes on to say that she knows that Anthony will stay with his supportive approach and continue the positive culture that is Mepham High School.

Please join us in giving Anthony a warm welcome and congratulations as he joins the Wellington C. Mepham High School community!
